2016 WORLD SERIES CONTEST
NOVEMBER, 2016

Congratulations to Sharon Malanczuk for guessing right on the money, Cubs over Indians 4-3 in the annual Right Field Charities World Series Contest. She wins this beautiful, autographed 8x10 of a crucial 1996 World Series catch by Paul. What a great season for baseball, ended by what can only be described as a biblical World Series. The games had an epic quality. Two pre-twentieth century teams, starved for a World Series victory for a combined 176 years. A resurgent city against a mega city. Two genius managers. The two best bullpen pitchers against each other, terribly overworked. Droughts of hitting for both sides. Spectacular defensive plays and muffed balls. Men getting picked off first twice and incredible baserunning, two men scoring on a passed ball. And it all ended in exhaustion, defeat and victory. Congratulations to the Cubs and Indians on great seasons.
